Basics of Drupal Part I - Node

You are here

In Drupal the node means content; by default there are several content types which are Page, Articles, News and Blog Posts; we can create our own content types which are also called nodes. The only exception is the comments which are separate entities attached to nodes.

You may take at CCK (Content Construction Kit) which provides the capabilities to extend the basics of a page from Title and Body all the way up to having Images, Date, Checkboxes and more fields. If your using Drupal 6 then you require CCK Module but in Drupal 7 it comes with the core.
