J2SE: Java 2 Standard Edition
J2SE is a basic platform for desktop and laptop Java software.

J2EE: Java 2 Enterprise Edition
The J2EE Pplatform hosts enterprise applications and utilizes application entities, including component, container, resource adapter, database and various standard service entities (ranging from HTTP and HTTPS to Web services).

J2ME: Java 2 Micro Edition
J2ME supports Java on various micro devices: smart cards, Internet screenphones, wireless smartphones and other telephony devices, interactive digital TV set top boxes, vehicles, etc.

Web Applications

Wakensys HTML, DTHML, AJAX, Java applet and Javascript skills enable us to provide customers with an optimal user experience when using our web applications. On the server side, we use IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat or Jetty.

Our development process is more productive and cost-efficient because we use Java Standard Tag Libraries (JSTL) and custom tag libraries, Java Server Pages (JSP), Java Server Faces (JSF), Spring MVC, Struts and Spring Webflow.

Standalone Applications
Our user interfaces for standalone applications run on J2SE platform using Swing/AWT or SWT.

Distributed Applications
For implementation of distributed multi-tier applications based on J2EE platform, we use:

Data Access
Any databases available through JDBC or ODBC (via JDBC-ODBC Bridge) drivers, including (but not limited to) IBM DB2, MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, MS Access and Interbase/Firebird.

Using Object Relational Mapping tools such as Hibernate, JDO, Castor, our applications are database-independent and allow our clients easy migration to different DBMS if needed. For performance critical applications, JDBC without ORM framework can also be used.

XML Based Technologies
XML, XSLT, xsl-fo, XSD, SOAP, WSDL, FOP, Xerces, DOM, JDom, SAX, StAX and JAXB.
